Chimney Installation Project

Participated in an industrial chimney installation project at Malakoff Power Berhad, gaining hands-on exposure to large-scale power plant construction, mechanical installation, and site activities involving the installation of chimney components and associated structures.

The project involved site preparation, equipment and material preparation, component positioning, structural assembly, lifting and installation activities, alignment and positioning checks, fastening of components, and inspection of installed sections. The work required careful coordination between site personnel, lifting equipment, and installation teams to ensure that chimney sections and supporting components were installed safely and according to the required specifications.

Activities also included assisting with dimensional and visual checks, monitoring installation progress, checking connections and structural components, and ensuring the work area remained safe and properly controlled. Appropriate PPE, lifting procedures, working-at-height requirements, and site safety practices were followed throughout the project.
