Industrial Valve Installation & Maintenance Project

Participated in an industrial valve installation and maintenance project at Danisco Malaysia, gaining practical experience in the inspection, preparation, installation, and maintenance of valves used within an industrial process system.

The project involved valve identification, equipment preparation, removal and installation of valves, inspection of valve components, checking flange and piping connections, gasket replacement, bolt tightening, and alignment of the valve with the existing piping system. Valves and associated components were inspected for signs of wear, corrosion, leakage, and physical damage before and after installation.

The work also included supporting functional and operational checks to ensure valves operated correctly and provided proper flow control within the system. Safety procedures, appropriate PPE, isolation requirements, and site-specific work practices were followed throughout the activities.

This project provided valuable hands-on exposure to industrial valve systems, piping components, mechanical maintenance, equipment inspection, installation procedures, and plant safety practices, strengthening my understanding of industrial process equipment and maintenance operations.
